Youth Employment & Livelihoods
Africa has the world’s youngest population, yet youth unemployment and underemployment remain persistent challenges. EEH works to inform policies and programs that equip young people with the skills, resources, and support systems needed to access dignified, sustainable livelihoods. Through evidence synthesis, evaluation, and capacity building, we support interventions that promote inclusive economic growth, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship. We collaborate with governments, NGOs, and private sector actors to generate insights on what works in boosting youth employment — from vocational training and public works to digital jobs and youth innovation hubs. Our work ensures that young people are not just beneficiaries but co-creators of solutions that address economic exclusion and empower them to shape their futures.
